Dengue Fever cases detected in 3 areas of Kampar prompt reminder for precautionary measures.

Majlis Daerah Kampar (MDK) has issued a stern warning through its official Facebook page urging residents to take necessary precautions against mosquitoes before returning to their hometowns.

According iDengue website, there are 3 dengue cases reported in Kampar area.

According to the latest updates from the iDengue website, there have been a total of three reported cases of dengue fever in Kampar. Each case was reported from different locations: Jalan Ampang, Taman Bandar Baru (Jalan Intan), and Taman Bandar Barat, with one case reported in each area.

Majlis Daerah Kampar (MDK) highlighted in its Facebook post that with the ongoing festive season and school holidays, there has been increased community activity, raising the risk of dengue fever transmission.

Furthermore, MDK is taking the advice from the Health Department, stressing the importance for individuals to thoroughly clean the surroundings of their homes to prevent the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes, and to use aerosol insecticide indoors.

The post also included an infographic on preventive measures against dengue fever during the festive season. It emphasized the need for individuals to ensure there is no stagnant water in or around their homes. If water storage is necessary, containers must be tightly sealed, and insecticide should be used to eliminate mosquito larvae.

Lastly, the infographic states that if you expereince symptoms of dengue fever, such as high fever, muscle/joint pain, eye pain, and dizziness, please seek medical attention immediately .
