Reckless Motorcyclist On A Flee After Causing Contact Inside UTAR Campus

A minor accident involving two vehicles occurred on 15 April 2:31 PM inside UTAR Kampar campus, where the involved motorcyclist fled away from the scene.

A driver tried to turn right to the parking lot of Block L where he did not notice a motorcyclist was moving simultaneously at the rear right side of the car. This caused the contact between the car and the motorcycle.

The victim, who is a UTAR student, was shocked at the scene.

“When I turned right, I was shocked with a loud ‘bang’. I saw a motorcycle fall down from my side mirror,” the victim said.

According to the victim, he immediately found a safe spot to check his damages and tried to approach the motorcyclist for further checking. But the motorcyclist together with the passenger immediately got back on the motorcycle and fled away from the scene.

“The motorcyclist was at fault first, he should not have been riding at the right side of the lane. His act has reached the level of unscrupulous audacity,” the victim complained furiously.

The accident resulted in serious scratches on the right rear fender of the car and extensive damage.

According to the UTAR Department of Safety and Security (Kampar Campus), the department has already identified the suspect motorcycle.

Based on the CCTV footage provided by the department, the suspect motorcycle is a red Yamaha Lagenda, with a male motorcyclist and a female passenger wearing UTAR Hospital cleaner uniform. Unfortunately the registration plate is not clear.
