UTAR 38th Convocation: Traffic Guidelines and Tips

UTAR 38th Convocation is around the corner. If you’re attending classes or the ceremony, check out this article to avoid missing out on any important information!

The ceremony will be held from March 8 to 10. To facilitate traffic flow, UTAR will implement traffic and parking policies as follows:

(a) Roads towards Block M and Block A will both be converted to one-way street from 6.30 am to 1.00 pm on 8 March (Friday) & 10 March (Sunday) and 6.30 am to 5.00 pm on 9 March (Saturday). 

(b) Only vehicles with Convo Parking Passes are allowed to enter the road leading to Block M and be allowed to park at the parking zone from Block N to L. 

(c) Vehicles without Convo Parking Passes will be directed to turn right 

onto the road leading to Block A, only allowed to park at the parking zone from Block A to H.

(d) Shuttle bus service is available at Block A (Heritage Hall) and Block D (Faculty of Science) to transport guests from the parking zone to Dewan Tun Dr. Ling Liong Sik. Guests do not need to worry about how to get to  the hall when park their vehicles far away. 

Here are some useful tips for you:

(a) If you do not want to wait for the shuttle bus service, you may park your car at the parking zones around Block H. These parking zones are the closest to the hall with only around a 5 to 10 minutes walk. 

Parking zone outside Block K is the nearest zone to the hall with 5-10 minutes walking distance

(b) South Gate and East Gate will remain open, while the gate that links UTAR and TARUMT will be closed during the ceremony.

拉曼大学第38届毕业典礼将在来临的3月8日至10日进行，为确保校内交通顺畅，校方将实施相应的泊车与交通政策：

（一）通往M栋和A栋的两条主道路，将于3月8日（星期五）和3月10日（星期日）上午6时30分至下午1时，以及3月9日（星期六）上午6时30分至下午5时改为单行道。

（二）拥毕业典礼泊车通行证的车辆将被允许通往M栋，并将车辆停放在N栋至L栋之间的停车区，这些区域是最靠近敦林良实礼堂的区域。

（三）无毕业典礼停车证的车辆则将被引导右转通往A栋，只能将车辆停放在A栋至H栋之间的停车区。

（四）A栋及D栋将设有班车服务，载送来宾们前往敦林良实礼堂，故来宾们无需担心车子与礼堂的距离。

以下则是有用的额外提示：

（一）若您不想等待接驳班车服务，您可以选择将车停放在H栋周围的停车区，这些是最靠近礼堂的停车区域，距离礼堂只有5到10分钟的步行距离。

（二）南门和东门保持开放通行，而通往UTAR和拉曼理工大学的门在典礼期间则会是关闭的状态。
